General Information

This is a pilot workshop, testing out a lesson that is still under development. The lesson authors would appreciate any feedback you can give them about the lesson content and suggestions for how it could be further improved.

Where: MG130 William Leech Building. Get directions with OpenStreetMap or Google Maps.

Requirements: This workshop will take place in a computer cluster. Participants can bring and use their own laptops if they wish but this is not required. The workshop will be delivered using Google Colab which is an online environment running in a browser. It is possible to use a Python environment on a local laptop but for that an NVidia graphics card is required and administrative access to install libraries. They should have a few specific software packages installed (listed below).

Materials will be provided in advance of the workshop and large-print handouts are available if needed by notifying the organizers in advance. To participate in a workshop, you will need access to software as described below. In addition, you will need an up-to-date web browser.
